Gwinnett County Government Water Resources "Best Management Practices (BMP) and Detention Ponds"

The Gwinnett County Department of Water Resources offers many learning activities for county residents.

This project provides information about the different ways that stormwater is mitigated through the use of detention ponds.

Animated videos are used to demonstrate how the different detention ponds work. Supplemental information is also provided on the care and maintenance of the ponds.

The Biztown Experience

Georgia Gwinnett College's Junior Achievement "Business Space"

I conceptualized and coordinated the build for this project. This was a physical "storefront" at the Discovery High School Junior Achievement facility. The space featured an interactive exercise that my team created. It guided middle school students through a series of questions designed to determine their future career interests.

Please view the slide presentation (right) to learn more about how this project was developed.

Teacher Prep Guide - Science Data Visualization

This was a lesson plan that I created as part of a special project with Georgia Tech's Center for Education Integrating Science, Mathematics, and Computing.

The plan used the topic of undersea exploration to help students understand the effects that human disasters and climate change have on the environment.

Georgia Gwinnett College - Information Technology Services

This site is the primary information hub for the Information Technology Services department at Georgia Gwinnett College. The site is built in WordPress using the Astra template. The site includes the primary site (right) and a subsite dedicated to GGC's learning management system (below). Activity on the site is tracked using Google Analytics. I built the structure of the site, and did most of the styling. I also contribute content in the form of blog posts, and I track activity on the site.

University System of Georgia - Staff Council Conference

The website was created to serve as a portal for all digital content related to the conference. Currently, it provides a direct link to a payment page, plus information about lodging and transportation. When the conference begins on October 13, additional pages will be added with links to video streams and other supporting materials (PDF's, etc.) for the sessions.

GGC Create Symposium - Spring 2021

The CREATE Symposium is an opportunity for Georgia Gwinnett College students to showcase their research projects and artwork. It has traditionally been held in GGC's event facilities. In 2021, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was decided to move the Symposium 100% online.

CREATE Symposia are held in both Fall and Spring semesters and have since gone to a hybrid in-person/streaming model. My team supported these events by building the CREATE websites and over 50 Microsoft Teams and Blackboard Collaborate meetings. We also provided real-time technical support for these events.
